The new City Circle Line in Copenhagen makes it easier and faster for travellers to get around Copenhagen. Sund & Bælt Partner was responsible for the project’s financial management.
Consultancy on a new link across Storstrømmen
Partner A/S fulfills the role of specific client consultant to Banedanmark and is responsible for ensuring that all Partner A/S’ relevant experience from the fixed link is incorporated, in particular for compatibility with the Fehmarnbelt project.
Tunnel in the Port of Copenhagen
A new road tunnel between the northern and southern parts of Copenhagen has been proposed in order to reduce traffic in central Copenhagen. Partner A/S has carried out preliminary investigations on behalf of the Realdania Foundation, the Port of Copenhagen and the Municipality of Copenhagen.
New beach area on Amager
The Municipalities of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg have, in collaboration with the County Council of Copenhagen (now known as the Capital Region) constructed a new beach and park area. On the coast of Amager close to the airport and to the fixed link across Øresund, the construction of an artificial island has created a new beach plus a lagoon area for recreational activities. Partner A/S assisted the client with the project management.
Fjord link Frederikssund
The Fjord link Frederikssund makes it easier and faster to travel from the southern part of Hornsherred to Frederikssund as well as Copenhagen and North Zealand. Sund & Bælt Partner carried out an analysis of how much to charge drivers using the bridge.
Vera Cruiz, Mexico
The state of Vera Cruz in Mexico has planned a concrete immersed road tunnel under the Coatzacoalcos River near the Gulf of Mexico. Drawing on the experience from the Øresund Tunnel, Partner A/S has assisted the consulting engineering firm, GROUPO BM, in the initial phase of the project with timetabling and technical requirements.
The Qatar Bahrain link
In the Middle East, the world’s longest fixed link is being planned between Qatar and Bahrain. Partner A/S has mainly been involved in advising the consultants on the planning of the toll station and the customs and immigration facilities using the experience gained on the Storebælt and Øresund links.
Tunnel under the Bosphorus, Turkey
A Japanese financed project is responsible for constructing Turkey’s first rail link between Europe and Asia under the Strait of Bosphorus in Istanbul. The project centres on an approximately 2 km long immersed tunnel 75m below sea level. At each end of the immersed tunnel, drilled tunnels will connect the rail line to Turkey’s existing rail network. Partner A/S has provided technical, strategic and organisational consultancy to the supervising consultant.
The 17 km long, Citytunnel connects the Øresund link with the main railway station in Malmö. The tunnel has significantly improved the efficiency of train operations for passengers and for freight transport in Malmö. Partner A/S was responsible for tasks relating to planning, tender documents, strategy, design and geotechnology.
